One person responsible for your tourist office's digital side, a few days a month.
A fractional digital direction to keep the website, the accounts, the suppliers and the decisions running over time, and three fixed-scope packages when a date is set: a question about accessibility, a label audit, an obligation to document. For directors of small tourist offices and comparable public bodies with no IT department. The price is set out in the written note that follows the first call.
The situations that lead to a call
-
A question from your supervising authority, a label application or a letter asks where your website stands on accessibility, and nobody can answer.
Your website measured as it stands, with the method the administration uses to check it, gaps found and ranked, a correction plan, and the three documents to publish, ready to go online under your name. After that, your team keeps the register of obligations and provides the document when it is asked for.
-
Something breaks on the website, or has to go out fast, and only the person who built it can act.
Hosting and access taken back in your name, configuration documented, an address and a reporting procedure for the team, and one responsible person who answers, including in high season. After that, your staff report problems, check that things are back to normal and read the monthly report.
-
A certificate, a subscription or a domain name expired and nobody knew who was in charge of it.
A register of accounts, contracts and renewals, each line with its owner and its date, alerts sent to you, subscriptions brought back into your organisation's name. It is the first deliverable of the first month. After that, your administrative staff keep the register and receive the alerts.
-
Your label's auditor tested your website, the grade is poor, and a supporting document is due by a set date.
A measurement before and after, with the tool and the protocol the auditor uses, fixes on what weighs in the grade, and the requested document, attached to the measurement. After that, you run the measurement yourself before each audit.
-
The same information is entered twice, in the regional database and on the website, and the screens show something else.
A map of the flows between the database, the website, the newsletter and the screens, what is missing to enter things only once, and what each step costs. After that, your team enters data in the database and checks each morning that everything followed.
-
Decisions pile up and the digital work waits.
A one-page monthly report: the state of the channels, five named projects with what your organisation owes on each, and at most two questions to settle, each with what happens if you do not answer. After that, you answer yes or no, in one line, once a month.
-
You have to sell online, the tool is there, but not the circuit: refunds done by hand, availability changed by email, a till that does not balance.
A sales and payment collection circuit compatible with your status, written down and tested end to end, partner access, a refund procedure, a trained team. After that, your staff set availability, refund according to the procedure and keep the till.
-
Your staff would do more if they had the permission and the procedure.
Written procedures for each role to publish, edit listings, send the newsletter and check a screen, with the permissions that go with them and a place where a mistake breaks nothing. Every engagement ends with this handover. After that, the team publishes and corrects without waiting for anyone.
Why not an agency
An agency is built for clients bigger than you. Its quote carries a project manager, a salesperson and a team, and that structure does not fit the budget of a tourist office or a small local authority. A consultation of that size is not worth its time to answer, so it offers a subscription website and keeps the keys. Along the way the contact person changes, and the day the site goes down at the height of the season, nobody has your file in mind. Here, one person answers, from diagnosis to go-live, works in your own accounts, in your name, and leaves you documentation that you keep.
Four ways to work together
-
Fractional digital direction
A few days a month to keep the website, hosting, tools, suppliers and digital decisions of an organisation with no dedicated lead running. Administration, development, content and decisions included, all of it documented and transferable.
-
Architecture, accessibility and IT cost diagnostic
Three weeks to map your digital system, measure the accessibility of your public website, put a figure on what the whole thing really costs and name the dependencies that expose you.
-
NIS2 and GDPR compliance
Six weeks to establish your real exposure, build a compliance plan proportionate to your size and assemble a compliance file ready for an inspection.
-
AI and knowledge base
Four weeks to bring your documentation together into a single, versioned source of truth that an LLM can use, and to set the rules for AI use in the organisation.
How it works
Thirty minutes on video
You set out the problem, I ask questions. No sales pitch.
A written note
Within a week, one page: what I understood, what I propose, the package or engagement that fits, the price and the VAT treatment. It serves as the written scope: nothing starts without it, nor without a purchase order from your organisation. If I am not the right person for the subject, the note says so.
The work
A package with scope and duration fixed in advance, or a monthly engagement with a one-page report each month. Everything produced is documented and versioned in your tools and your accounts, not in mine. Anything beyond the scope is proposed in writing, one decision at a time, never added along the way.
Afterwards
At the end of a package, you leave with the deliverable, the documentation and the procedures for each role, to act on your own or with a supplier, and your accounts are in your name. Moving to fractional direction is an option, never a condition.
Frequently asked questions
Who is this offer for?
Directors of small tourist offices and comparable public bodies with no IT department, who depend on a supplier for their website, their accounts and their tools. The contact is the director or their deputy, not an IT department. Other organisations may read this page and call; it is written for these directors.
What is the difference between a package and the fractional digital direction?
A package has a scope, a duration and a price fixed before it starts. It answers one specific question and ends with a deliverable and the procedures to keep it alive. The fractional digital direction is a monthly engagement, three months minimum: a few days a month to keep the website, the accounts, the suppliers and the digital decisions of an organisation with no dedicated lead running. In both cases, the price is written in the note that follows the first call.
Who signs the accessibility statement: the supplier or the office?
I deliver the measurement, the text of the statement and the plan; your organisation publishes them under its own name, like everything that appears on its website. What I sign is the measurement report the statement rests on. In an organisation of this kind, this question held up a statement for months; it is settled in one line in the note.
The label asks for a supplier's attestation on the website's environmental footprint: what is it worth if the auditor measures differently?
An attestation is not a grade. The auditor measures your home page with a public tool and sends you the result; do it before they do. What I provide: the measurement before and after, same tool, same protocol, attached to the attestation. Without a measurement attached, I do not sign an attestation.
Our accounts (hosting, domain, email, social media) are in the supplier's name: is that normal, and how do we take them back?
It is common, and it is the first risk. The first month of an engagement is used to establish who holds what and to bring each account back into your organisation's name, with the register. Nothing stops during the transfer. At the end of any engagement, the accounts are yours; that is the rule here, including when the supplier is me.
The website went down on a Saturday: who do we call, and with what access?
For an organisation under an ongoing engagement, the team has an address and a reporting procedure, and the fix is part of the month. For others, say so in the subject line of your message. Same-day answer during business hours, a twenty-minute call to qualify the failure, then a fixed price for a first intervention with a capped scope, sent in writing before any work, with what is covered, the validity date and the VAT treatment. The fix is made and documented. Anything beyond that first intervention goes through the usual written note, which also says what caused the failure and how to keep it from happening again.
Can our staff publish on their own without breaking the website?
Yes, for most routine requests: a news item, a listing, an events calendar, a newsletter. What is usually missing is the written procedure, the permissions that go with it, and a place where a mistake breaks nothing. In an organisation of this kind, the team says in so many words that it is afraid of messing things up; nobody has given it permission. Every engagement ends with the procedures for each role.
Why do updates break the website, and do we need a test environment?
Because the website depends on extensions and settings nobody follows, and an automatic update overwrites one of them. A simple website depends on fewer things; that is the first remedy. When the existing website stays, a verified backup before each update and a test environment are part of routine administration.
A tool's invoice is in the supplier's name: who should pay, and how is it recharged?
Every subscription is taken out in your organisation's name and paid by it. When that is not the case, the register flags it and the transfer is scheduled, with the date on which the invoice changes name. No tool is bought in your name without a written decision from you.
How long does the treasury take to pay, and why a written order from the office?
A public body pays through its treasury, with a delay, and closes its accounts at year end. The written note is therefore followed by a purchase order from your organisation before work starts, and invoices are issued at the pace and in the form your treasury requires. This protects both sides and avoids payment reminders.
Can we sell online without a written payment collection circuit?
The tool is set up in a few days. A public body's payment collection circuit, on the other hand, is decided with your accountant and your supervising authority, and it determines everything else: refunds, payouts to partners, the till, terms of sale. That is where I start, and it is what is missing when refunds are done by hand and the till does not balance.
Can the regional database feed the website and the screens without double entry?
That is what it is for. In practice, it takes access nobody has asked for, an import that runs every day and a person who checks in the morning. The diagnostic maps what exists and what is missing; the import itself is priced separately in the note.
How is AI used in engagements?
I work exclusively with Claude (Anthropic) for automation, documentation and corpus preparation. No client data is passed to an AI tool without prior written agreement on what is passed and why. The rules of use I propose to clients are the ones I apply myself.
Where does the work take place?
Remotely, from Varna in Bulgaria, by video call and in writing, for clients in France and across Europe. On-site work is decided case by case.
A digital problem to put on the table?
Thirty minutes on video. You set out the situation, I say what I understand of it and whether I can help.
